Renaissance Academy opened in the Fall of 2014, bringing a whole new type of public high school to our area. Renaissance Academy is part of the New Technology Network, schools across the country that are changing the way students are being educated for the 21st Century. Renaissance Academy is tuition free to all Indiana students.

New Tech Network

The New Technology Network is 120 schools in 18 states with an educational model that uses project-based learning: an active curriculum that challenges students to explore real-world problems in order to obtain a deeper knowledge of the subjects they're studying.

Project Based Learning

Renaissance Academy students will learn by participating as part of a team on projects that solve real world problems, many within their own community. This is why, “Why do I need to learn this?” has become a question rarely heard from a New Tech student.

Meet the Staff

Renaissance Academy facilitators believe that all children can learn. Each facilitator provides an instructional model of relevance and real-world application. Their role within the New Technology model of student-led instruction is to facilitate and guide more - and lecture less.
